Because of the devastating bushfires that wreaked havoc throughout Australia at the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020, many of the grapes in the wine regions were smoke tainted, which rendered them useless for wine production, this prompted us at Milbrodale Farm to experiment with a limited release of homemade grape jellies.
The strong characteristics of the grapes shine through in this pleasantly smooth and tasty treat. Spread it on toast in the morning or have it on a scone at tea time with a dollop of thick cream or use it in a red wine and grape jelly jus on pork or duck for a delicious sweet/savory sensation.
